The Map Maker

February 22, 2020 Adventuring, General Life, Self-work

I used to think I had a map to get where I was going.

The lines were drawn and all I had to do was look for the destination and follow the key.

And then one day, I heard a whisper from the map maker himself. And he said, “I made this map for the world, but your inner world might be different.”

“You have your own compass inside, it may lead you on wild adventures, but I promise, never will it be wrong.”

The map maker, he was onto something, because one day I could hear it. I could feel it. I listened. I learned how to know it. The map inside of me.

I had to abandon all logic. All reason. Being ‘realistic’.

But when I started to follow that compass, something magical happened.

I became my own map maker.

I drew the lines. I wrote the key.

And when I did, my whole world, my destination, and my destiny, completely changed.

The map maker, he was right.

And so let me tell you a little secret, in case you didn’t know:

You are the map maker too.
